The materials have opened both my mind and hands in ways that continually surprise and delight. Again, I really appreciate the effort you put into this most important teaching!

I have just completed the chromatic scale lesson and it is one of the greatest lessons i ever studied. I am a retired school jazz music teacher who has studied with some of the greatest musicians around and not around. These studies should be in the curriculum of schools like Julliard, Berklee and other colleges. Young students need to know this dynamic and original approach to music. Anyway full speed ahead with the course!

Dr. Harris' approach changed my own vision of music and piano. Thank you for your contribution to this awesome work.

I thought that I knew a lot of things about modal material, but I'm discovering HOW to make it to sound...It's so exciting, I go back practice. Have a nice day.

Well, there is no use dwelling on the past, but I wish I had this in high school and college!! Just the opening lessons on scales is priceless, thanks!

I recently started to study the Barry Harris method for guitar, as written down by Alan Kingstone. I knew alot about jazz vocabulary before but couldn't translate it in an honest way to songwriting. The related diminished approach with sixths, borrowing, resolving and other techniques are such an eye opener for me. All I've learned before NOW makes sense for the first time. I feel that I am learning about the very source of jazz harmony. As a songwriter and a developing musician I am very excited and want to thank Barry and Alan so much. Jan van E, Holland
